The Rømer scale is a temperature scale named after the Danish astronomer Ole Christensen Rømer (1644-1710), who proposed it in 1701. The freezing point of water is set at 7.5°Rø and the boiling point at 60°Rø.Celsius
The Celsius scale (also known as centigrade) is a temperature scale named after the Swedish astronomer Anders Celsius (1701-1744), who developed a similar scale.
