Scale information
Newton
The Newton scale is a temperature scale named after the English physicist, mathematician (and more) Isaac Newton (1642-1726), who devised it around 1700. He defined "zeroth degrees of heat" as melting snow and "33 degrees of heat" as boiling water.Rømer
The Rømer scale is a temperature scale named after the Danish astronomer Ole Christensen Rømer (1644-1710), who proposed it in 1701. The freezing point of water is set at 7.5°Rø and the boiling point at 60°Rø.
