Formulas
°F = °N * 60 / 11 + 32
°N = ( °F − 32 ) * 11 / 60
Scale information
Fahrenheit
The Fahrenheit scale is a temperature scale named after the German physicist Daniel Gabriel Fahrenheit (1686-1736), who proposed it in 1724. The freezing point of water is set at 32°F and the boiling point at 212°F (at standrd atmospheric pressure).Newton
The Newton scale is a temperature scale named after the English physicist, mathematician (and more) Isaac Newton (1642-1726), who devised it around 1700. He defined "zeroth degrees of heat" as melting snow and "33 degrees of heat" as boiling water.
